We begin our day with Jesus's triumphant entry into Jerusalem as the crowds spread branches of palm before him and shouted "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest".  Then things shift, and cries of "give us Barabbas" as Jesus is crucified.
